The Verdi, after the composer Giuseppe Verdi, is a shorter, deliberately groomed round beard paired with a moustache that is styled as its own piece, often with curled or waxed tips. Where the Garibaldi lets the beard lead, the Verdi splits the billing between beard and moustache, and both must be maintained to standard. It is the most formal of the big-beard styles: nineteenth-century elegance rather than frontier wildness.
Who does it suit?
The styled moustache adds width at the mid-face, flattering long and narrow faces. Round faces should not add the beard's lower fullness.
How to maintain it
Two routines daily: brush and oil the beard, comb and wax the moustache. Scissor-shape the round base weekly. This style is a hobby.
