The English moustache trains long hair horizontally outward from a narrow centre, ending in fine waxed points that extend past the cheeks, with the corners of the mouth kept nearly bare. It is the regimental cousin of the handlebar: where the handlebar curls, the English projects, level and disciplined. Who does it suit?
The horizontal reach widens narrow and long faces. Round faces do not need the extra width, and curly hair fights the shape.
How to maintain it
Wax and train outward daily, protect the points while sleeping, trim only the centre. Patience is the main ingredient.
