Drag the slider: clean shaven to styled

The full beard covers everything: cheeks, jaw, chin and moustache grown in and connected. It is the oldest style there is and the base material for most others, which are essentially full beards with regions removed. A true full beard needs the three-month patience threshold, because week four patchiness fills in later for most men. It changes a face more than any other choice on this site, adding weight, width and age in one move.

Who does it suit?

Strongest on long, narrow and angular faces, which it fills and grounds. Round faces can wear it too if the sides stay tight and the bottom grows longer.

How to maintain it

Wash two or three times a week, oil daily, brush downward, and trim strays every ten days. The neckline sits two fingers above the Adam's apple, never at the jaw.
